Civil War Union Army Officer. He was commissioned as Major of the 1st California Volunteer Infantry on May 21, 1861. He served his regiment, which was eventually re-designated as the 71st Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, until his discharged by Special Order on July 16, 1862.
On February 13, 1897 he applied for a United States Army Veterans Pension (Application #1186201, Certificate #940908).  Anthony/Brady bm.
